Dear Pam and , and everyone here at the ShyDrager Support

Group Site,

I wish to thank you for your help here at the ShyDrager site, in

January and February, when I really needed some support with managing

my sister a's MSA symptoms. In February, we hired a full-time

caregiver to be the one in charge of my sister's large group of care-

givers, and medicine scheduling. It was getting far too complicated

for my other sister and I to manage things between Illinois and New

Mexico.

In May, Dr. Low ordered hospice care for a, with instructions to

keep her as comfortable as possible.

a passed away on October 20, and as a had requested, we

immediately had her brain and spine sent to Dr. Low at the the Mayo

Clinic. a hoped that studying her tissues could perhaps

facilitate a cure for MSA, so that others would not have to suffer

the way that she suffered. a had a memorial service and funeral

in New Mexico, and a Memorial Mass in Illinois.

In spite of our relief that a's suffering is finally over, all of

her family and friends are still reeling in disbelief that her life

here on earth is ended. We feel a very strong sense that her spirit

is still with us, however, because hers was a personality that was

upbeat and optimistic, and a made many friends by her active

community involvement.

Thanks, again, for answering my questions during the early part of

this year, and for all of your comforting words of support. There

are many wonderful people frequenting the ShyDrager site. God bless

you for providing so much help to so many people.

Sincerely,
