Where do you get these? Do the Dr's give them to you? What do they say?

How do people react when they see it?

Thanks!

Hi Mandy,

I got mine from my support group meetings, Alot of places will honor them

and you can get order from the childrens menu when dining out. I have heard

that some won't honor them and knowing me if they don't...I will just get up and

go to one that does.

My Surgeon gave me a stack of them

On the Front it has his " business card " .

On the Back it has my Name and explains that I have had WLS and a stomach that

has been reduced to 2 oz.

Please allow patient to order from child's menu or reduced portions.

I usually just order a meaty , hearty soup.. I eat half and I am full!

I have a restaurant card...I've never used it. Everything on the kids'

menus where we go out to eat is stuff like pizza, chicken strips, cheese

sticks...all fried stuff or very high in carbs. I usually get some

grilled chicken or steak off the adult menu and share with one of my

kids or I take whatever I don't eat home for another meal or two

(usually two). In most of the places I've been to sharing or ordering

off the kids menu (when they have stuff that I can have) hasn't been any

kind of problem but have heard some horror stories.......
