Guest guest
Hi Kim! Happy anniversary! (I just celebrated my 2nd at the end of August). I had a crown/bridge/crown combo that was replaced after my braces came off post-op. That combo was created for my old pre-op bite, so I went with a bit of an open bite for a few months (my dentist threw his back out the day I was supposed to be prepped for the new one). I remember macro chewing on that side and then finishing it off micro- chewing on the other side. Once it was replaced, things started to settle in very nicely. My advice is to keep in good touch with your ortho to check the bite after the crowns are installed, regardless of who does it. My ortho insisted, but he said my dentist did a perfect job. Insurance only covered 50% as usual - they questioned why I had to have it replaced, but I had no hassles after my dentist followed up with them. Best wishes, > I noticed on my calendar that it says my 2-year post op anniversary > is on Oct 22.
