Guest guest
I can't help this person, perhaps someone here can: -=-=-= I would really like you opinion on the use of IPL for Asian skin. My skin is of Indian descent and I live in the Philippines where roseacea is rare and Photorejuvination is a relatively new treatment. I went to one dermatologist who advised me against IPL due the the possiblitilty of hypo or hyper pigmentation, however I went to another one who said i would be fine but when I questioned her she had treated very few rosacea cases and that too on patients of spanish descent. My skin is a light tan. I currently use Purple emu's Blemish cream on one cheek and cea LTD discs on the other cheek. Both are slightly pinkish and have helped in minimizing papules. I used to have alot of pimples but these subsided with dietary changes and homeopathic medicines. The faint redness and large pores remain. I'm going to see Dr. Gerald Boey at a laser clinic in Vancouver, BC to see what he reccommends. I have heard that the darker we are, the harder for IPL to work and the more chance of hypopigmentation. My rosacea is quite mild (I'm 21) but I can see it getting worse. Please let us know if anyone out there with Asian or dark skin has had IPL done. Thanks. > > I would really like you opinion on the use of IPL for Asian skin.
