Guest guest
I always put foundation on my eyelids and my ear-lobes because the one I use has a sunscreen. I have had skin cancer three times and try to protect as much of me as possible. foundation on eyelids? > is it dangerous to put on foundation over my eyelid area? like i > said before, when i cry my rosacea spreads and gets worse...for > instance when people get red-rimmed eyelids after a cry, except mine > never fully subside and sort of just add to the rosacea i already > had. so basically i have pinkness there and now in the center of > forehead too. sort of like a mask that connects to the cheek > pinkness... so im wondering, would foundation somehow seep thru the > eyelids and possibly irritate my eye /blepharitis ?? i know my > roommate used to put foundation over her eyelids, but then again, she > doesnt have rosacea. > > > > -- > Please read the list highlights before posting to the whole group (http://rosacea.ii.net/toc.html). Guest guest
Most companies make eye foundation that avoid ingredients that are irritating (or worse) to the eyes and surrounding mucosa, but the really important issue here is the reason why you are crying. Ten days ago, in #40253 you said, " i feel like i spend 90% of my day thinking about rosacea and how to beat it/cure it/suppress it. " In that post you also mentioned your parents' concern over your hyperattention to your skin and their hope that you see a therapist. I hope you are giving your emotional and mental health full attention, and prioritizing its importance over something like easy flushing. Good luck! I have the same problem. My eyelids are reddened and I absolutely hate it! I've had photoderm and Versapulse laser done several times to try and eliminate some of the red-eyed look. I would suggest that you use a makeup that is specifically for the eye area and avoid getting it into your eyes. I use an eyeshadow primer by Crem Colour Cosmetics that I found on QVC that I love. It's kind of expensive, but it is going to last me a long time. Good luck, Marji
