Guest guest
Just wondering if anyone has had a second surgery to correct items either left out or performed wrong in their first surgery? If so, did your insurance cover any of the second procedure? I had lower jaw advancement/genioplasty ten years ago. My bite is good, but I was left with significant lip incompetence which is bothering me more all the time. My surgeon elected on his own at that time to omit moving my upper jaw which would have corrected the lip incompetence. The chin was very poor too, whatever genioplasty was performed was very slight and offered no real improvement at all. I have subsequently had a chin implant which greatly improved that problem, but the lip incompetence is extremely tiring and frustrating. I'm consulting with an oral surgeon next week. Guest guest
I had a second surgery two days after the first because my open bite wasn't completely closed. This procedure was paid in full by my insurance and, as far as I know, required no pre-authorization.
