Guest guest
Candi, Yes, I was able to drink that much a week after surgery. It includes 5 cups of milk along with the added powder. I split the drinks into 5 servings a day where I sit and sip over a period of time. I also drink 32 - 64 oz of water throughout the day in-between. These are all part of our recommendations and the bariatric team is happy with how I am doing. I see online that each program throughout the country have their own recommendations and each person has their own tolerance of what they are able to do. Patti T. Guest guest
Candi, Yes, the calorie breakdown is from the milk, carnation instant breakfast and protein powder mix. I took the information from all the labels, put them in the www.fitday.com site to get the breakdown. I'm wondering what other people have been asked to do by their surgeons and what the nutritional breakdown is. Patti

Guest guest
No I wasn't talking about the fluids...I think I was talking about the calorie breakdown. Or were the calories from what you were drinking? Candi Re: Post-op Nutrition Breakdown..To Candi Candi, Yes, I was able to drink that much a week after surgery. Guest guest
Oh I see. I was thinking that at 4 weeks you were able to consume enough solid food to make up those numbers. I am still no where close on that. I don't know what it was when I was on liquids because I don't think I ever counted.
