Guest guest
I am writing on this forum because I am trying to find patients of genioplasty who have had a wonderful outcome after surgery. I don't have problems with my bite (thank god), but my chin is a bit recessive and needs some help to balance out my profile. I have included a link with my pics to show you all why I think I need it. My lower lip does not meet up with my chin at all and my upper lip area is a bit wide (nasolabial area), and my oral surgeon tells me that he will be able to fix that with a sliding genioplasty. I trust in him and I did not want to go the " implant " route for chin augmentation. His name is Dr. Swift at University of Minnesota, in case anyone has had work done with him. He does alot of jaw advancement surgeries, etc. and does genio alot for those patients. I am just a bit scared because I am hoping it turns out ok. Anyone can send me post op pics of their genioplasties that I can look at? If you could put my mind at ease, I would be eternally grateful. I am just scared that it might turn out asymetrical, crooked or maybe too projected. My doc recommends above 6mm to maybe 8mm. I love what he did in the morphed shots for me. You can see them below. Anyone have a bad experience with their genio's and have to have them revised? I already been thru 2 nose revisions and am over that period in my life and don't want to have this genio revised too! I am in good hands, I am sure of that. I did my research on him. But am still scared. I know about the chin/lip numbness and all that stuff, but I think I can live with that. I just want it to look good. Thanks all. My email is cjs33139@..., just in case anyone wants to write me. Here is the link to my pics. http://groups.msn.com/ChrisChinaugmentation Chris
