Guest guest
Glad to here everything is going smoothly. I am 3 weeks post op and still have some swelling. I had Lefort 1 and a genioplasty and My upper lip, lower nose, cheeks, chin and neck are still swollen, but people that see me tell me that if they did not know me before they would not be able to tell I'm swollen. It is still a tight uncomfortable feeling but no pain. And of course tingely to the touch, since it's pushing on the nerves. As for feeling " normal " I'm still waiting and hoping it won't be too much long. Good luck with your recovery, > > Hello ya'll > I cant believe its been a week already its actually gone pretty > smoothly. Guest guest
My total swelling was gone in about 3 weeks. The heaviest swelling within 1-2 weeks (still had some noticeable chipmunk cheeks, but not like it was by day 2 and 3). I Iced for the first couple of days and applied heat quite regularly for the next 3-5 days (for swelling and pain) and the swelling seemed to go away rather quickly. I had my surgery on a Tuesday and was back to work the following Tuesday and many people stated that they barley noticed any swelling. I had a pack that could be used frozen and could be microwaved too for heat and it became my best friend (along with the pain meds). I am 4 weeks and I don't think there is swelling. -- In orthognathicsurgerysupport , " paistycowboy " <paistycowboy@y...> wrote: > > Hello ya'll > I cant believe its been a week already its actually gone pretty > smoothly.
