Re: List of labs

I hope someone will post this list of labs to the list! I've never

seen this myself, and I'm sure I can't be the only one. :D

Hey, this is great!

I have my annual physical coming up next week and I'd love to give this to

my PCP. We do the lipid and a cbc and liver function every three months, but

I can see that's just scratching the surface.

Can you tell me where you got it? I think a good citation would help because

my doc will certainly be asked why he's doing so many tests for an

essentially healthy person. Managed care, y'know.

Thanks,

/john

My surgeon keeps a list of these on his website, which also contains the

diagnostic code for the blood draw. You can print them out at

acificsurgery.com/For_Patients/for_patients.html</A> You want the

one called " Annual DS Lab Orders "

I had a hard time getting into this site. The link is too long and has to be

shortened and you need an id and password. I used anonymous as ID and password

as password. It got me this list....

Dx: POST-SURGICAL MALABSORPTION, 579.3

Please have the following drawn:

· CALCIUM

· CARNITINE

· CBC

· COMPREHENSIVE CHEMISTRY PANEL

· COPPER

· FOLATE

· IRON

· FASTING LIPID PANEL

· LIVER FUNCTION PANEL

· MAGNESIUM

· PTH, intact

I wasn't the original poster of this site. I just thought I would pass on this
