ignore all the grammatical errors from the last post...

it should read:

i thought there was something fishy about you.

1. your first post was the same day as your profile creation

2. you never respond to anyone's answers

3. less than 2 weeks ago (on your first post), you stated that your

ortho suggested that

you should have ortho surgery (Message # 82676 ).... now you state

that your surgery is only two weeks away? Do you really expect us to

believe that?

geez!

zulu, it's not that unheard of. both my surgeries were scheduled for 1

month after i agreed. if the doctor is not that busy short times are

only constrained by your ability to pay upfront. eric

maybe true; however, i don't recall this person ever talking to a

surgeon.. he appears here telling us that the ortho suggests

surgery... two weeks later, he's got a surgery date in two weeks...

where was the consult with the surgeon?

also, the surgeon will not do surgery until he looks at the teeth

alignment.. this is usually why most people are in braces for at

least six months..

i do agree that anything is possible, but this 'joe miller' is most

likely a dishonest poster looking for information in the WRONG

way...

Zulu,

This is really aggressive, why would you not believe Joe? There is

nothing to indicate that he is lying and he certainly has not

attempted to sell or promote anything. He has just as much of a right

to post and look for info here as any of us, and what he chooses to

share or not share is entirely up to him, you cannot make this

judgement of him based on the small amount of info that you have read

in a few posts.

Unless he has done something to directly offend you or that goes

against the unspoken rules of this site there is no reason to attack.

If he has done something then you need to contact the moderator and

let him know.

Joe,

I certainly hope that you disregard this as it is the opinion of one

person and not the entire group. I hope you continue to post and as I

found this site invaluable before and after surgery.

can't you find better use of your time? I would suggest getting off

the computer and finding a job, or organization to vouleenteer for

or SOMETHING to occupy your time better.

1. I have created seperate profiles at times---for a new e-mail

adress that I want to use for a specific purpose. I have created new

addresses when you are required to have a sites email---such as

yahoo groups may require users to have a yahoo email adress. I also

recently--within months--switched over my main email from

elephantwithatailight to rohayhu________ because my former e-mail

was getting viruses every day. There are many reasons for creating

a new profile and coincdently joining a group that same day.

2. I don't respond to anyones awnsers

hope you can find something more useful in this world to worry about

may I suggest the 1 in 5 children who live below the poverty line in

this nation, or the genoicde that is being ignored in sudan and

history is repeating itself because appantly we humans can't learn a

lesson or how about all those animals and plants dying off the

earth. All worthy causes but polluting a group and creating drama is

not needed or wanted here.

Wow Liz - talk about creating drama. My, my such anger over a minor

question of identity. Oops time to log off, its my scheduled time

to think about dying children in Sudan.

Ok, that's it everyone. This thread stops here, please. We have much more

better things to discuss.

Let's hear (or read) about how those wired during last holiday season, and

how they got through, eating turkey and stuffing, and the extras.. Or how

they explained their current situation to their familly? I, for one, am just

about fed up with repeating the same old thing. Not that I view this whole

thing as simple, but to tell the same story over and over, is kind of getting

on my nerves!

And, while being at it, here's a short update: I'm 5 months post-op, and I'm

meeting my ortho tomorrow morning. He'll take a mould of my upper jaw

and he will remove the braces in the weeks. If I'm lucky (as I feel I am), he

will also discuss removing the lower braces... Just in time for x-mas, or

even my birthday (Jan 13). That would be a great gift !!

Mind wise, I'm doing great. I'm not affraid of needles anymore.. (laughable,

but true!). Numbness and the rest, I already posted it in another post.

My tongue is half numb (the left side), and I can't feel both gum and teeth

on my upper jaw.

But the best side effect, I think, and I've talked about this with other

members of this group in private, is that (it'll sound silly, I know), I just

can't stop smiling anymore. For 37 years, I tried to hide my smile, because

it was plain ugly, and when I tried to smile, anyways, I looked like Dracula

where I could only show two teeth (you know the ones). But now, it's a

whole different ball game! For some reason, I smile at everything (

include yours truly in the miror, every time I pass in front of one!)

I know, it's silly... but it's me :)

So I've been told that I changed. A lot some people say. I don't feel it

really, except that I smile more. That's all.
