Hey survivors!

This isn't such a big deal, but since our little world is so near perfect

already:

It sure is easier to read if you put your replies at the top of the message

you're replying to. That way, lazy me doesn't have to scroll so much when

I'm reading. Just move your cursor with the mouse to the top of the

message, hit " enter " a few times, arrow up and start typing. My mail

program automatically puts it at the top, but some must put it at the

bottom. Anyway, the top ones are just easier to read.

I'm with you. I get over 100 messages a day from various groups, and sometimes

if I am rushed, I don't even read the ones I have to scroll down to. Thanks for

the post.

And how about deleting the message you are replying to before you

hit " Send " ? Some replies have 4 messages attached and that is way

too many. It makes scrolling an art form! LOL Just an idea... Deb

could we also get the subject line to reflect content and not say digest #

The only problem with that is I often get emails that I have no idea what

they are referring too. I personally prefer at least part of the

previous message.

Lori: You are right about the responses... leaving a sentence or two

for reference would not be so bad... but one day on the digest there

was a reply that was 82 inches long! (Yes, I measured it because it

was soooo ridiculous! LOL) Thanks for responding -- now if the

suggestion could just be implemented! Deb

I am feeling a little testy right now, but if you don't like the way a post

looks don't read it. I find that it is up to me to adjust my ways and not

ask others to change. I have trouble reading all caps, so I don't read it.

People with profiles that are too busy are difficult for me, so I don't read

them. I don't ever ask anyone to change their ways of posting because I know

I can just skip the post. Try it, you'll like it.

If I understand correctly, it wasn't a single post that was so long -- it was a

reply attached to a digest that was attached to another digest and so on.

Sometimes people don't cut out any part of the digest they are responding to,

and the whole thing gets lumped together numerous times with each new reponse. I

had to take most of my lists off digest for this very reason -- it's just easier

to read individual emails and delete threads I don't want, than to read through

miles of digest trying to find the answer to the one question I asked. I get

some 400 emails a day because only 3 or 4 of my lists are on digest, but I don't

have to read through quite so much material any more. I just delete stuff right

from my inbox if I know the thread doesn't interest me.

Well, well, well, Faye. Testy is not the word I would have chosen,

but the word I was thinking of did contain 5 letters. LOL But, it

is not a response that was 82 inches long, it was in a digest where 6

different responses were heaped one on top of another. I do not know

about you, but when I start to read a reply I have no way of knowing

how long it will be until I keep scrolling to get to the next

response. I cannot adjust the digest or the responses; I have to

take them as they arrive in my box. Sorry if a simple request was a

little too much for you to handle this evening, but I make no

apologies for asking a simple favor of others...
