Another question i forgot to ask about sunblock

Ok, I'm dumb :-P

If you apply sunblock, that blocks what? The UV and sun completely - like if

I put on sunblock will I tan at all and it just blocks out the harmful rays,

or no?

Sorry for such a dumb question - I've been using Bain de Soleil tan in a can

but its getting to the point that its faded and been put on and faded that i

need a real tan right now to even everytyhihg out - thanks

Sunblock and sunscreen are often interchageable, although some people use

sunblock for the " physical filters " like zinc oxide and sunscreen for

" chemical filters " like avobenzone.

The only true " block " is a thick layer of the zinc oxide pastes. All other

sunblocks allow some uv light through. The exact nature and amount of the

light that gets through depends on several things including what SPF it is,

whether it's broad spectrum, how thick and even you apply it etc.
