Abdominal Pain Update

So, today I followed up with my PCP. She was great. Much more

understanding of the surgery that I have had and the possible

complications that i could develop. She has ordered an upper gi with

small bowel follow through, as well as an abdominal CT scan. She has

a feeling that there may be adhesions or a stricture at the bowel

anastamosis site. As I suspected. I asked her about the Bentyl, it

is a smooth muscle relaxer, and she told me to take it easy with it

right now. She stated that with Bentyl, if there is a partial

obstruction, the bentyl can cause a complete obstruction. So, I will

not be taking much of that!! She does want me to stay on a more

liquid type of diet until we know what is going on though. I will

let you know what I find out after the testing is done.

Boy, I am sure glad that i found a protein drink that I like, if I

had not, i would be up s--t's creek right now!!
