Guest guest
glutathione IVs have been great for me. You can read my past posts for more specific benefits. However, when I first started (600mg), I felt terrible the day after - like a herx reaction. After that went away, I noticed signficant improvement. Guest guest
Hi Tom, > I recommend everyone look into IV glutathione, but don't expect miracles. I agree. The patient mentioned in the article had Lou Gehrig's Disease--not Lyme or CFIDS. In any case, a large " trial " is going on right now and the results will leak out eventually. The sickest of the sick will happily settle for a 10% improvement if they can't get a miracle. Sue , Upstate New York
Guest guest
But there is an overlap btw Lou Gehrig's and lyme. Many Lou Gehrig's patients do test positive for lyme. This doesn't mean lyme is causative. Perhaps in some cases it is, and in others it is synergistic with other assaults such as other pathogens or enviromental poisons. > Hi Tom, > > > I recommend everyone look into IV glutathione, but don't expect miracles. > > I agree. Guest guest
> We are taking my almost 6 year old daughter, who is on Dr Buttar's DMPS protacol times 6 months, to the DAN! physician on tuesday to try a dose of IV Glutathione. Please don't do this. If your child gets terribly worse and has a lot of new problems afterwards neither I nor anybody else knows how to fix it. >I guess it was recommended at the last DAN! conference as it always is, often by a doctor who has had lots of horrible things happen to people but pretends he has never seen any such thing when asked. > to try this at least once. She has been on it orally and tests high in her blood but the doctor says it is not getting into the cells where she needs it. Has anyone tried the IV Glutathione and if so do you have any advice for me? Don't do it. Just say no. Cancel the appointment (and find a doctor responsible enough to be able to practice medicine safely). >Sincerely, Angie > > > --------------------------------- > Discover > Have fun online with music videos, cool games, IM & more. Guest guest
sounds like a possible detox effect. with the glutathione ,you are now detoxing heavy metals andmany other reactiveoxygen specicies. I imagine thisis sort of like a herx type effect. Check your magnesium levels also. Headaches are often caused by a magnesium deficiet. > Hi Everybody and Rich: > > I had my second IV Glutathione drip yesterday. My blood pressure went > up but not terribly. Guest guest
Two thoughts: 1) Start with a lower dose? Maybe 600 mg? 2) Only use preservative free--from Wellness Pharmacy. I tolerate it great, but had a bad reaction to College Pharmacy's. You also want relatively " new " glutathione so it won't oxidize. > Hi Everybody and Rich: > > I had my second IV Glutathione drip yesterday. My blood pressure went > up but not terribly. Guest guest
Okay....I have switched from IV-C plus EDTA plus H2O2 to IV-C plus glutathione. For malignant lymphoma (reticulum cell sarcoma, or bone lymphoma). Is it okay to use glutathione or should I just stick with the IV-C? Thanks, Dana

I wouldn't skip it; low glutathione results in disease (and death) even when all the other antioxidants are plentiful. That being said, IV glutathione only elevates cell glutathione, where 90% of it is needed, by the action of glutathione-sparing, meaning IV glutathione is useful in the bloodstream but does not enter the cells; you still need precursors for fresh glutathione production in the cells. A very large number of people have done this - it is one of the fads that is quite popular in the adult treatment community because it is lucrative for the doctors, and it is now being taken up in the DAN! community. Unfortunately a lot of the people who do this end up with horribly permanently worse children. This may occur after several iv's that appeared to be fine and in fact beneficial. I don't think this is an appropriate therapy for autistic children. I have discussed this before in some detial on the list, you might want to use onibasu or the andy index to find further information. Andy . . . . Guest guest
I have to concur with Andy as I have seen numerous adults have disasterous results with IV glutathione (especially high dose). Of course, some people have seen remarkable benefits but the problems I've seen (some of whom were physicians themselves) far out way the potential benefits. Guest guest
I had a call today from a woman with an ASD son..... the lady at the vitamin shop gave her my number! Small town... I felt so badly as she has a 3 year old without words and is just beginning the journey of 'denial' of services (funding granted but no therapists available story) with speech issues, OT, PT, etc. I could hear the pain and the struggle in her voice and I knew that she found comfort in the pestering voice of my child who answer the phone when she called. But one of the interesting things that she told me was this..... She flew him to Oregon and saw a doctor there who gave him IV glutathione. After this her previously voiceless boy immediately began to speak! He indicated that her son desparately needed a course of IV glutathione treatments and could be helped tremendously. Now, I give Mark oral glutathione and he has really responded but nothing like that! Has anyone ever tried IV glutathione treatments and if so, what was your experiences? Not rushing out to do this but I am curious to know if anyone else has had this type of response...... Janice

Guest guest
If the mom can't afford the IV thing can she use the Dr. Yasko protocol? > I had a call today from a woman with an ASD son..... the lady at the vitamin shop gave her my number! Guest guest
Hi Janice, When we took our son for some alternative treatments for his brain injury, I noticed the facility was offering IV glutathione. I talked with the doc about it. It is a wonderful anti-inflammatory, so I can see the proposed benefit. I have been so busy lately. I forgot (I think) to email you back that my husband's hospital is currently doing a study with N-acetylcysteine for ADHD. I thought of you. Guest guest
, I spoke with my environmental Doc today and he actually said that Nebulized Glutathione was even better than the IV Glutathione and that if he could only get the facilities, he would absolutely love to be able to offer what he called " intranasal " glutathione. Anyway, I thought of you as he spoke about Nebulized glutathione as being the 'top-dog'. That is what you use for your CF.... right? Curious to hear about the study for NAC (helps make GSH, right?) Teach all..... lovely to have " secondary " access to your resources.... so to speak!
