Guest guest
Yes one week tomorrow and off to post op x-rays then. Wired until Thursday when I make the trip back to Oakland. All I can say is thank god for the Olympics...just wish they would show something less boring than those soccer matches... Not tired at all and have never had any pain at all. I posted some pics today in a new Photo album if anone wants to check out what I looked like before and my progress after the surgery. > > > Hi All, > > > > > > I am going in for SARPE this friday. Guest guest
I would wager that the (from all accounts) most splendid Dr. Poor, if indeed he comes to the site (and I honestly thought that he was a she, from earlier posts) will find thing that annoy enormously and things that are acceptable and helpful. I think one key thing about this site that can never, ever be said too many times is that the docs are the ones who KNOW. Anybody else is only reporting on one person's experience, which may not be typical. Always, ALWAYS!!! the best thing, if you have a problem, is to call your doc's service or office, and ask for help from the professionals. Some of us have suggestions we've learned about. Many of us have advice. And many docs have different advice. But the folks who are taking care of YOU are the ones in the best position to give you help if you need it. Guest guest
Arde, good luck with your SARPE! I'm also expecting to have it done this fall, so I'll be more than eager to hear all about it when you're back! If you're up to telling about expander fitting after tomorrow, I'd love to hear about that too. - joplin > Hi All, > > I am going in for SARPE this friday. Guest guest
Hi Jopliini, The expander, as I am sure, will take some getting used to, so I will be getting back to you on that... since my surgery is the day after tomorrow I will not have too much time to get used to it before I will have to start getting used to my new jaw expansion. So far it has been an hour and a half since I put them on and it is getting better every minute. Its the salivation that is really annoying because swallowing is such a task now. Again its not too bad, so no worries. I'll keep updating as the days trickle by.... Arde > > Arde, > > good luck with your SARPE!
