Guest guest
, I use Three Lac and love it. Also, BioK+ is an excellent probiotic. I also use homeopathic M.Ds www.lenandjoe.com they are terrific. You can check out their site. They have amazing vitamins. As for digestive enzymes, I use the same brand Janice uses Houston Naturals - Peptizime. So far, so good in this house for us. Colleen Mother of Charlie 2.5 years [ ] Kirkman's Hypoallergenic Pro-Bio Gold Hi, I'm seeking a better probiotic for my son. I'm looking at the Kirkman's products, and the Hypoallergenic Pro-Bio Gold sounds good. Has anyone used this in the past with good results. My son has constipation issues (bowel movements every two to four days these days) with greenish stools. Can anyone request a specific brand of probiotic? I'm looking into digestive enzymes, too.....does anyone have any suggestions? Guest guest
I think you need to find out what is behind the green. The little I know of green I thought in one person's son it meant bacterial infection...if that is right (a big if as I can't recall) you kind of want to know what bacteria is excessive in him before adding some via probiotic. We did use this with some success in my kid who needs help pooping but she is hardly constipated from what I read here. I have personally tried it. Not sure what it did. BMs were more comfortable I guess. It does have a great deal more lacto bacillus in it than some of the others I believe. When I asked both GI's what to use, one gave me a sample (I can't recall what it was but she gave it because it wasGFCF) and the other simply said " Pick anyone with lactobacillus). Not sure if this helps. > > > Hi, > > I'm seeking a better probiotic for my son. I'm looking at the Kirkman's products, and the Hypoallergenic Pro-Bio Gold sounds good. Guest guest
Thanks Liz for this information. My peditrician has never been concerned about it (the color), but the DAN said that it indicated that the bile was not being digested properly due to inflamation of the GI tract. Since my son developed greenish colored BMs directly after his first round of vaccinations, this answer sounded correct to me. I also have a similar issue.....(the color -- that is). It's interesting because my son is adopted, so the genes are not transferring here. @...: lizlaw@...: Mon, 18 Feb 2008 00:05:14 +0000Subject: [ ] Re: Kirkman's Hypoallergenic Pro-Bio Gold I think you need to find out what is behind the green. Guest guest
Green poop MAY be a sign of detoxing heavy metals -- in other words a good sign. But, it is more likely a sign of something in the diet that isn't being tolerated. I think I recall it being linked to soy, but when I searched for it to reference I couldn't find a link. > > I think you need to find out what is behind the green. Guest guest
We use Houston Nutraceuticals enzymes. We used to take AFP Peptizyde, Zyme Prime, and No-Fenol separately, but now they have come out with a combo product called TriEnza. They are great! My son potty trained overnight once we got the dose correct. It was miraculous! Check out www.enzymestuff.com for general enzyme information or email me offline with specific questions. We use their chewable probiotic, but it is as powerful as some. We like it because it tastes delicious, so I get 100% compliance without complaints. We tried the Kirkman chewable, but everybody hated the taste (including me). in NJ > > > Hi, > > I'm seeking a better probiotic for my son. Guest guest
My aunt has the same poop issue and they told her it was pancreatitis. Color does matter. The overall goal is brown fully formed stool. Don't ask me how to get it as we lost that recently. Everyone is happy, no apparent illness but the poop is not G-rated:) >> > Hi,> > I'm seeking a better probiotic for my son.
