Question for moderator/listowner

Hi, I know I am not allowed to post to Graduate OSSG, so I haven't.

But I am emailing you to ask if you know of anyone in the group that has had

the problems I am experiencing. I am 12 weeks post op and an upper gi

showed I have a dilated esophagus and also my stoma stitches are breaking

loose. Surgeon is ordering a scope to take an up close and personal look at

esophagus, pouch and stoma, and also ordering a barium meal for me to drink

as much as I can and see where it goes.

I am a member as far as I receive the groups emails, but I have not

posted and won't break the rules. If you feel led to do so, could you put

out the question about a young postopie needing to know if anyone has my

conditions and what was done for them? My surgeon says if something is

wrong he won't operate for 6 months, by then I will be 9 months or more

postop.

My weight loss is good, cause I work hard at eating 5-6 mini meals a

day and sticking mainly to protein. But if I want, I can sure pack away 3

slices of pizza with crust in one sitting, or a dinner of shrimp cocktail,

with lobster tail and steamed veggies. I have to make a choice daily not to

eat that way, just cause I can. My surgeon is alarmed I can eat so much and

not feel any fullness. I have never felt fullness, I don't dump, I don't

throw up, no tightness in chest, I actually feel normal, like I never had

the surgery.

I hope I am fixable

Hi Debbie,

Honey, I feel for you. I didn't have this problem, but I would recommend

that as soon as you have test results you get a second opinion. We have a

woman in our group who has had 3 revisions (all the same doc) and still has

never lost more than 40 or 50 lbs.

I don't think I could/would wait 6 months for correction. JMHO.
