Guest guest
Well, i wanted to thank everyone for their posts! I have been waiting for this day for over a year. Had to have it rescheduled again from April! I had lower jaw surgery today and I am home from the hospital the same day! The surgeons were great and everyone else was so helpful. My jaw is wired shut. I had some nausea while trying to get dressed in the hospital. Manged to not throw up and was asleep the whole ride home from Oakland to Sac. Got nauseated again at home while moving about and quite dizzy. As soon as I forced down a can of nutrition drink and some sippy cups of water, I was feeling no more nausea and finally was able to walk about the house without feeling extreme dizziness. I am not in much pain. But, my face is swollen up and I look like that Short character. Everytime I see myself in the mirror i have to crack up laughing. I'm starting to bruise now. Other than that, i actually have some energy although my family members keep yelling at me to sit down in the chair and rest. I hope all goes well with anyone else having surgery this month. Best wishes and thanks for all the support! Jen

Guest guest
Wonderful!!! Isn't it nice to finally get it over with? I would say that the anticipation is the worst part, well maybe the second worse part. Take advantage of everyone's help at home. > Well, i wanted to thank everyone for their posts! Guest guest
Congrats, Jenn! I'm scheduled for lower set-back at Kaiser Oakland in December and I will also go home the same day. I was a little apprehensive about this but your post has reassured me. Here I was griping about the drive back to San Francisco and you went all the way back to Sacto! When do you think you'll go back to work or school? Please keep us updated on your progress and again, congratulations! Maddie
