Guest guest
On the other hand---- I was a fat child, the oldest of 5. My parents only served and bought healthy food. We never went to restaurants, didn't do the fast food thing (because they hadn't been invented when I was a kid!), we did not have sweets in the house, desert only for birthdays and I was the only fat one. Why? Wasn't because I didn't eat healthy. Meat was on the table every day but not in huge quantites, 3 to 4 vegetables every dinner, a green salad every night. So why me and not the other 4? Yes, I did eat more than my super thin sib. but mostly more veg. I don't know the answer and I doubt if anyone else does either but neither of my parents was overweight, my maternal grandmother was very thin, grandfather was chunky, paternal grandfather was very small, don't know about paternal grandmother (she died when my father was only 4) but it has to be genetic, donncha think? Alice The Loon RNY 12/28/00 ..... You know maybe it is not all the children fault that they are over weight, I listen to my sister in law talk about about my niece being a little chunkier than her other 6 kids and i ask her then why are you letting her eat all the crap that " you " give her.... Guest guest
Yes, I do, or a chemical imbalance. I know I lack that signal that says I'm full or satisfied, I've had enough...it's broken, doesn't work. I only feel full when I've overeaten and just can't fit anymore in, and that feeling of satiety is almost never there. in NJ ******************* > So why me and not the other 4?
