Guest guest
hey everyone! I'm 13 weeks post-op having upper and lower jaw surgery. I was told not to blow my nose after surgery, and hadn't until recently when I caught a cold. Blowing my nose and sniffing makes my sinuses feel really strange. They feel real delicate. I also started swimming competitively again, and the pressure underwater gives me a really weird sensation in my sinuses. Is there something going wrong here? Anybody else experience something similar? Any insight would be great. Thanks!

Guest guest
Hey , a few of us a while ago were talking about how our sinuses seems so different. I swim also but have not since surgery am interested to see if i will feel a differnce . I like how you phrased " delicate " that is EXACTLY how mine feel. I blow my nose much more often, not sure why, my nostrils are wider, but i do breathe better also. when i do blow, i feel as if i do too hard i am damaging something up there. i am not blowing as hard as i would if i had a cold pre op. I have had two colds since, i am 4.5 months post op. not sure that i answered anything, but know you have company in this area. > > hey everyone! > I'm 13 weeks post-op having upper and lower jaw surgery. Guest guest
, It may just take awhile before your sinus don't bother you anymore. My os said for upper jaw surgery they have to cut thru your sinus cavity. So, it could just take a little longer to heal. I know my nose doesn't yet feel connected to the back of my sinuses. I am still hacking up the ocassionly blood clot and my nose is always running. I have to keep touching my nose since my lip is still numb, I can't feel when my nose is running. -- In orthognathicsurgerysupport , " " <Natty178@a...> wrote: > > hey everyone! > I'm 13 weeks post-op having upper and lower jaw surgery.
