Guest guest
Okay, ladies and gents of great knowledge. Hope someone can help me out here. Got minimal lab results over the phone today from pcp's office. Everything supposedly looks good, except my B6 is still too high and now I'm just very borderline anemic. Nurse says doc is not concerned about it. But I am. I asked how were the numbers on iron, ferritin, and protein and she said all are okay. I forgot to ask about B12, but assumed if it were not normal, they would have mentioned. I will have actual copy of the results, with all the numbers, on Monday. But in the meantime, does anyone have an idea what could be going on here? I am nonplussed, as I am the supplementer of all time. I take extra everything practically. How could I --strong believer in even going a bit beyond the necessary-- end up borderline anemic?? And how come my B6 is still high? Not taking anything more than my 2 multi-vit's a day. Don't eat nuts or seeds usually, except for my flaxseed meal. Is that high in B6? All ideas, recommendations gratefully accepted. Guest guest
Hi, Just a note, every one of my doctors has said my iron and b12 was okay, right until it hit the floor... at the hospital --- the Dr. on staff raised a flag and really upped my irons and started b12 shots. Do your own research and verify your levels and compare them over time with previous levels for trends. How far out are you? What was your surgery? Always keep copies of your labs! JJ.
