Guest guest
I just wanted to share my experience with Depo. I only took 2 shots at 3 month's apart. I wanted to try an alternative to BC. Well guess what folks. I gained almost 40 lbs.!!! Good gravy!!! Wholy crap!!!! I immediately stopped this and found it was a side affect and happens to so many women! My doc warned me but she said you just never know and that's the truth. I work with 2 other gals who took it and they stayed fit. You never know. I am not on any BC meds anymore but will use non-latex condoms when the time arises. I am married and enjoy my loving husband frequently. We have chosen this because it keeps me off the medications. I didn't want anything to interfere with my success. Does she have problems where she ovulates too much? Or is it just painful? A wonderful alternative to all this drug hormone stuff is herbal suppliments for woman and HIGH doses of CALCIUM/MAGNESIUM. For some reason this combo works wonderful on women, especially the ESTRO products you buy over the counter and at costco with Black Cohash and rasberry herbal stuff. It works great for me and my daughter too. we take suppliments about 2 weeks in the month and we aren't bitche!! can you believe it? And it totally makes cramping vertually none. I hope this helps. Noni Juice is a wonderful product that can help with the Rh A. It has some healing and pain releaving properties. I take it daily myself for energy. God bless, Your help Ladies Please ! Yesterday I went to a pre-operative seminar for Weight loss surgery. Yes, you did read it right. After 3 suscesses in our family, my youngest daughter has decided that this is a vaible alternative to the medical problems she has been facing. Our biggest concern was the NSAID medications she has been taking for her Juvenile Rhumetiod Arthritis disqualifying her from having a RNY. The surgeon told us that she could go onthe 2 enzyme inhibitors, but her relief haas been poor with these medications. It seems like a lap band may be her best, and possible only alternative. Here's the 2nd problem. As with many overweight women of child bearing age, PCOS is also a problem. Having had 5 surgeries for ovarian torsioning aleady, the have her on Depo Shots (DON " T YELL AT ME!) it control ovulating. This is a hormone shot usually taken ever 13 weeks, but she needs them between 9 and 10 weeks or continues to have problems. Use of contraceptives is a surgical risk and you must be off oral contraceptives for 30 days prior to surgery. Does anyone here in the group have any experience with this medication and any complications which they had pre-op or post-op from taking them?? I never said this would be easy, did I! _____
