Guest guest
What a strange experience I had yesterday. For those of you who like a good deal, get ready to salivate. Macy's has a sale on...an extra 50% off clothes already marked down 50-65% PLUS an extra 25% if you say you want the preview sale. Well, I am just in pig heaven. This is better than an all you can eat buffet! Especially since I'm so irritated I spent money on a size 20 wardrobe and wore it for only three weeks. So I go to the store and spend over an hour rummaging through scores of racks and get about two dozen size 18W pieces. I start trying them on and they're all too big! Now I'm p.o.'d again because I'm almost out of time. I hurredly grab a few regular 18's, 16's and one 14 dress just to try the sizes. The 14, 16 and one 18 fit. How the heck can I wear a size 16 at 230 pounds? This is hard! Shopping is going to take me forever if I have to sort through three sizes of everything! I feel confused and dazed and overwhelmed. I'm used to being in the queen size section where I only have 2 or 3 choices of woofer ugly clothes to start with. (why, oh why are so many size 24s in plaid?) Well, it's just one more area where I have to relearn how to function. Look at it this way...a new no calorie hobbY! Does trying on clothes count as arm raises? I don't even know what my personal style is. I never had a choice before. I guess I get to discover who I am. Do I want to be a Ralph cowgirl, a DKNY sophisticate, a Land's End suburbanite, a hip chick??? Hee hee..won't hubby have fun!!! Vicki A. P.s. I bought hot pink undies. No more white cotton Hanes for me!
