Guest guest
Deb, I am wearing the pressure garment even though I hate it. The problem is that it's basically a big piece of elastic with velcrow. Kinda like a kneee or elbow brace except bigger. The elastic bunches up and forms curves and then aggrivate those knots in my stomac. I have changed it around to keep it smooth. I told my husband that I wish it were something designed more to the female shape. I will definately ask my surgeon on Monday where in the world I can get a better one if I need to wear it longer! Things are difficult to find in Denmark. I know the swelling is not completely gone. In comparrison to what it was before, it's much better. The drains were taken out after 24 hours. On the fifth day, my pubic area looked like a giant water balloon! I do still have pockets of fluid. I am not looking forward to what they do for that! My surgeon said it was easier to take the drains out early on and use a needle and suction out any pockets of fluid. I can only see two areas now below either side of my belly button. Thank you for your response, Dawn

Guest guest
Dawn, Congrats on your surgery! I'm so elated to hear that you came through it with flying colors. Can you tell the difference already? When you had your TT, did the surgeon do any lipo on the mons area? A woman at a support group meeting said her mons stuck out so much after the TT that it looked like she had a penis when she wore her pants. Is this for real? I'm still a hard 40 pounds away from ps, but just to keep myself on track, I'm going to start researching surgeons in my area. I envy you!
