My husband is doing low carbs (and has been quite successful - 30 pounds in

7 1/2 weeks!!) and is reading a book called " Low Carb Living " that

recommends taking a supplement called L-Carnitine. Does anyone know what

this is?

My carnitine levels are low, so I take 500 mg of carnitine in capsule form

daily. It is a transport agent which aids in the metabolism of protein (at

least, that's as close as I come to understanding it after extensive

reading!!)
