Recovery from Hernia repair

Hello Everyone,

I had My hernia's repaired almost a year ago March 5th. I had one big

area and 3 smaller ones. I my surgeon had to completly re-open me,

which i didnt mind because he fixed my original scar. I thought the

recovery from the hernia repair was much worst than my WLS but that

could because i went home on the same day. But here is my question-It

always bothers me not a day goes by that it dont bother me, but i

have days like today where it could amost be classified as painful

and if some one was to touch the area i would bite thier hand off. I

have talked to my surgeon about 2months ago about this, He said I

have quite the scar tissue in there and i have lots of mesh, plus i

have this one spot that looks almost like a raised pimple/boil under

skin but he siad dont worry it is probably a stitch inside(i guess he

tied a bow instead of a knot Joking) and that is all he said.Today

would be one of those days where i would pick up the phone ask him

again if this should still be bothering me but i cant- He is Deployed

right now. Does anyone still have problems with their hernia repair

areas???
