Steve,

Thanks for your reply. I found a comftable way to wear the garment for the

moment..lol. I seem to have to readjust it every so many hours. Yes, I'm a

little nervous about taking it off too but when it begins to

hurt....well...I have to. I don't have a problem with the knots being

inside. I only have a problem with them hurting. I have been afraid I did

something wrong. It does ease up after a change the position of the garment.

Four weeks huh? I hope it's still only two weeks like the surgeon originally

said.

You have a " T " scar? Is that the way they cut you for the tummy work or is

that from the two surgeries combined? My original scar from open RNY was

very difficult to see after almost 10 years except at the very top. (Female

thing..tried to wear a bra to early afterwards.) Now I have about an inch

scar still above the belly button and right now, can't see much below it. I

know it must still be there as there was no scar removal at this time...lol.

Good news...the kids fevers have finally broken. Now only hubby and myself

left to whine..lol. Think teenagers will wait on us????

Dawn,

My WLS was a lap DS. The inverted " T " , or " anchor " incision is a

" bariatric " tummy tuck ( TT) in which the abdominal muscles are

repaired and/or tightened (the vertical part of the anchor), and then

the non-bariatric part of a TT in which the pannus (apron) is excised

(the horizontal smiley). Also, during the procedure, a ventral

hernia (just above my navel) was repaired. And, while the surgeon

was at it, I had my hips and butt lifted. The modern-day version of

" Shave and a haircut, two bits! "

Pics are on the ossg-plasticsurgery site.

More like 80,000 bits, I'd guess, since a " bit " is a quarter! LOL
