I had the upper jaw suergery my jaw was moved down and out 6MM and

cut in two places--to make it into three pieces which widened the

upper pallate. I do know people who have had a pallate expander my

guess is its used when your young and still growing but might be

worth asking the ortho. about or doing some research on---try

googiling " pallate expansion " (www.google.com) and see what you come

up with.

I can tell you that my ortho was able to broaden my upper palate

significantly, using only the braces, and to work the pointy palate

into a nicely rounded shape. What I can't rell you is any degree of

measurement, alas. Only that it was enough to change my upper arch to

my satisfaction.

I can tell you that my ortho was able to broaden my upper palate

Hi Cammy, Thanks for the info... I just changed orthodontist and

would ask him if he can help me on that. I am so impressed to see

the result on Cathy. Very nice.

Hi Cammy, Thanks for the info... I just changed orthodontist and
