Guest guest
SIXTEEN YEARS? Well, wait. Then I should be glad I still get confused as I approach #9. Someone who works for me is my height, about 6# heavier. She looks like an ELF to me. She thinks I look like an elf. I watch her, and she is at least HALF my size, I know this for certain. She sees me watching her & just chuckles. She's always been her size, but she knows what I'm thinking. " Boy, you're tiny, wish I was that tiny " . I feel like a cat chasing my tail cuz I can see the numbers, can't relate to the actual size. No, I'm not 262 in my mind, but somewhere around chunky. Thanks, Vitalady, Inc. I'll be 21 years out in May (yea! Somebody here is " older " than me!) As for food struggles, I still have them. I'm a carboholic, remember? I just try to be moderate in satisfying those cravings. (And I eat pickles! LOL) And...fat free? I can't tolerate a lot of fat. I dump. But I don't buy " fat free. " Might as well eat cardboard and wallpaper paste. I just try to stay with foods that are naturally low fat. Guest guest
You think FF is as good as cardboard? Try Kraft Free mayo. LOL! I love mayo, don't mind " light " , like Miracle Whip, too. (but they're not interchangeable). But this stuff went TOOOO far. We used it to " wax a table " . It was a huge wood table, looked like it belonged on the Ponderosa. We rubbed in a whole jar of Kraft Free (tasted like axle grease to me--don't ask how I know THAT). There was so little fat in it that it didn't even add any luster at ALL to that table. Axle grease woulda done a better job. Thanks, Vitalady, Inc. Guest guest
It's amazing how foods/brands change from region to region. My FIL in NC gets this amazing mustard called sweet onion mustard. I love this stuff and can't get it out here on left coast (lucky my FIL loves me and sent me a case of the stuff). And in Holland I got this incredible Mediterian Olive Sauce made my Heinz that I've not found anywhere in the states. KathyM > I never realized it. It all makes sense now. It's made in NJ! Guest guest
Oh dear gawd, Dunkin Dounuts? That's not even coffee that's brown water. A real coffee war would be Starbucks vs Seattles Best. I can still recall like it was yesterday, driving through the Vermont country side. I lovingly said to my husband " I love you honey " . He responded " I love.......Dunkin Dounuts " as one of those tedious little stores caught his eyes. KathyM > > If Helmanns is the real thing, I prefer the fake stuff. Guest guest
Funny story made short. I'm an Alaska girl -- raised on " Best Foods " mayo, in my book, the ONLY kind there is. Husband is from Oklahoma. Go to meet his folks, first visit, 15 years ago. They are a Miracle Whip family there. OH MY GOD!!! Like, looking into the fridge and seeing that, I immediately go into withdrawals, sweats, heart palpatations, etc. Husband takes me to store. No Best Foods. I'm freaking out. Frantically searching the shelves of every store for Best Foods. Nothing. He happens to live next to a large military base *Altus AFB* and a kind-hearted " northerner " military person identifies my dilema. Hands me Hellmans, and SWEARS it's Best Foods. Got my fix and was fine. Yup - military comes through everytime, even in times of peace!!!
