Guest guest
Funny story made short. I'm an Alaska girl -- raised on " Best Foods " mayo, in my book, the ONLY kind there is. Husband is from Oklahoma. Go to meet his folks, first visit, 15 years ago. They are a Miracle Whip family there. OH MY GOD!!! Like, looking into the fridge and seeing that, I immediately go into withdrawals, sweats, heart palpatations, etc. Husband takes me to store. No Best Foods. I'm freaking out. Frantically searching the shelves of every store for Best Foods. Nothing. He happens to live next to a large military base *Altus AFB* and a kind-hearted " northerner " military person identifies my dilema. Hands me Hellmans, and SWEARS it's Best Foods. Got my fix and was fine. Yup - military comes through everytime, even in times of peace!!! Guest guest
Yes, yes, yes. And anyone I've ever met who (outside of my family) even ate artichokes thought I was wierd. In my opinion, the ONLY thing that goes with artichokes is MAYO. (Actually, in my world, the artichokes just ACCOMPANY the mayo!!) I never even heard of anything else going with them until late adulthood! Hey, getting to 314 came pretty dang easily living with mayo (and artichokes, that is)! Guest guest
Oh boy, do I agree! And I'm so thankfuk for it, too, because Dunkin Donuts are a dime a dozen out here, and that's the only thing that keeps me out of their stores. But, pass up a Starbuck's? Not gonna happen. BTW, is Seattle's Best another coffee company? If so, they're not in my neck of the woods yet. in NJ *********************** > Oh dear gawd, Dunkin Dounuts? That's not even coffee that's brown > water. A real coffee war would be Starbucks vs Seattles Best.
