Guest guest
Dunno if it's the same thing, but I had a bone graft under a back molar, after periodontic disease had caused troubles. Mine was a piece of cake, and I hope yours will be, too. They used acid-washed cadaver bone, which looked like a little dab of toothpaste. There were a couple of stitches, and I was done, in the office, with no complications. If they have to take some of your bone to do it, your adventure will be different. Many people have complained that bone donor sites (for the surgery) are more painful than the site of the graft. Good wishes to you. Guest guest
Thanks Cammie for answering back. I found out today it will be doner bone. They put that in with some enzyme and the bone regenerates. I am just so nervous. I am only 30 and I dont have peridontal disease. I did have gingivitis but I got that under control with cleanings every three months. My doctor said weird things happen. They called what I had an acute periodontal absyess. Well I dont think I have much to worry about. I just had never heard about bone grafting to save a tooth untill this week. > > I just found out, that a severe infection over the weekend has > caused > > substantial bone loss around my lower right canine.
