Guest guest
I am having big patches of sclainess and redness on the bridge of my nose which seems to be unrelated to my rosacea. have had derm. tell me to put clear fingernail polish on the nose pads and then tell me to eliminate ant metal, especially nickel frames. Eyeglass place told me to use only stainless steel or titanium frames. anyone have ideas about any connects between roseacea and this condition? thanks. Guest guest
I don't know if there is a documented link between rosacea and problems with metal, but I have had the same problem with eyeglasses. Don't go with the fingernail polish solution unless you have no choice. I buy only total plastic or titanium frames. I also found a problem with the newer nose pads that are made of a softer plastic--maybe silicone?? I had to try several before I found some that did not give a rash. I also react to metal in earrings, watches etc. I can wear silver, stainless steel and 14K or higher gold. Of course I emphasize the last option to my husband <grin> PS I am new to this group. I have been lurking for a couple weeks. Guest guest
Hi all, i dont have the same problem with rashes or itchiness from nosepads, but i get a pain on my nose bridge from wearing my glasses, and sometimes this weird heat.. like its flushing under there. im not really sure how i can make it go away...sometimes its like taht feeling you might have if uve worn glasses for a REALLY long time without taking them off...except sometimes it happens after only wearing them for a short time. anyone kno of any solutions? my glasses are actually really really light in weight so i dont know what else to do except take them off fora while (But then im back to being blind =) i cant wear contacts for now since i have blepharitis.. and lasik is out of the question till i turn 21? (plus, doesnt this surgery exacerbate dry eye sometimes?) > I don't know if there is a documented link between rosacea and problems > with metal, but I have had the same problem with eyeglasses. Guest guest
I Scuba Dive and have found that the silicone on my mask breaks me out - I wonder if the soft part on the glasses is something else? eyeglass problems > I am having big patches of sclainess and redness on the bridge > of my nose which seems to be unrelated to my rosacea. have > had derm. tell me to put clear fingernail polish on the nose pads > and then tell me to eliminate ant metal, especially nickel frames. > Eyeglass place told me to use only stainless steel or titanium > frames. anyone have ideas about any connects between > roseacea and this condition? thanks.>> > > >
