Guest guest
Well, I wrote and submitted my resignation letter yesterday. All involved (including myself) agree I've actually persisted too long at working. Anyway, " retirement " is effective November 1. Well... I always did want to " retire " at 40. Just never thought it would be this way :-) I also saw a new doc today. Actually, he's the same doc whom I saw late last year. Been a while since I saw him, as his records indicated I had lost another 40#! I must admit though... since last weighing in at his place (in April after returning from Mayo) I did weigh a few more pounds (literally) than I do now. I was a whopping 135#. Anyway, he was quite pleasant, efficient, and cooperative. What a shocker! He even knew his stuff. He was a " baby " doc when we saw him last year, but he has really grown in the last year. He even knew what MSA/SDS was, and what a stomach pacemaker is... and even where I could get one done at! He ordered the 4 tests that are still outstanding (my internist's office continues to balk on them...) We should have them done relatively soon! It's only been 2 1/2 months since she first ordered them! We got so fed up with the lies and delays, that we called his PCP back up, and wow - we got in today. Have the scripts in hand now! Still in application process to see Dr. on. Meanwhile, systems continue to degenerate. Vision is worsening weekly - at least. For those who attended the Chicago conference and thought I didn't have any motor control problems... If I get much worse, I'll be giving Zac a run for his money! :-) But, all days are not like that. Today was one though - and no one doubted my need to quit. Well, better get off... Tired, chest aches... Oh yeah... I got the flu shot and pneumonia shot today.
