Guest guest
I can remember at least one person who had lingual braces and had the surgery. I cannot remember whether she had to have some special lugs put on the outside to accommodate the surgery, though. I have a vague recollection that she did, but that they were in place only shortly before and shortly after the operation. I think they are a real pain to get used to, and that they are more expensive and slower than the regular kind. But she wanted them, she had them and she was pleased with her results. You may know this already, but many adults have enormous fear of wearing visible braces. Then once they have them installed, they find that few people even notice them -- and most who do notice them, do so because they are thinking of making some changes in their own mouths. Still, it's your choice -- and that of your surgeon.
