Guest guest
Karon, I didn't go through any crying with this, so am not equipped to give you any advice as to it, but I do know that this is such a wonderful thing for me. I know my personality is changing. I can get out, go places, without feeling inferior (all those things we let get into our head). And I know it only gets better from here! I am incredibly more active, and am off so much medication, aches and pains almost all gone already. I'm amazed that I could vacuum the whole house, mop the floors, vacuum cobwebs and furniture, and do 8 loads of laundry in one day, and I was still cooking dinner and not needing to sit down with an aching back! Two months ago, I would have been able to do only one of those things. I can say you definitely are not a baby. Your emotions are real. Different people have different reactions. It's very sweet of you to put the notebook together for your hubby. I'm sure he'll appreciate it. So looking forward to your first post when you're home. Guest guest
Constance, I didn't realize 2 of you were having surgery the same day. And you both have kids at home. Yes, you're so right, it is a " big day " . The first day of a changed life. It makes me so happy to think of the more fun you'll be able to have with your kids. Guest guest
constance!! finally hunny, your turn, so happy for ya! lori h. > Karon, > Tomorrow is our big day. I have exactly 24 hours and 35 minutes until mine starts. I've been a little weepy too. I think it's completely normal. I'm not packed yet. My kids aren't packed yet. I will have plenty to keep me busy as I wait for my time to come. I think right now my big question is what to wear to the hospital. Was told to get something extra big for the trip home because of swelling. And the gas they will use to fill my abdomen won't be completely out of my system. Will be looking thru cd's to take as well. And still lots of busy work to do around here. I'm right there with you. And will look forward to hearing from you when you come home.
