Guest guest
I have to say I didnt like the computerised forcasts that my ortho presented to me pre op, I could hardly see a difference and in fact I thought they made me look worse. I even argued with the ortho over how these images were generated because it looked to me that she had cut and paste my lower jaw forward ( i had a 9mm overbite and im 9 weeks post op now). It made me serioulsy reconsider the whole operation but i always had a gut feeling that I wouldnt end up like the " projected results " , well im glad I had the surgery, I love my new side profile and my bite is perfect. well thats my experience anyways Marie > First of all thanks to everyone on this group for sharing their view > points and personal experiences. Guest guest
That's interesting Marie b/c my ortho showed a computer generated picture of my profile post op and I said it didn't look like anything had been done. In fact I am going in to talk to him in a couple of weeks and be shown more pictures. I'm glad you are so happy with your results. I hope I can be saying that too when I am done. cookiegirl_ie wrote: I have to say I didnt like the computerised forcasts that my ortho presented to me pre op, I could hardly see a difference and in fact I thought they made me look worse. Guest guest
when i think about that picture now, ive realised that it did not compensate for any other alterations to my face besides my bite, my this i mean that in the forcasted pic my bite was corect but otherwise my face was the same, but since having the op my nose appears less pointy and prominent and my profile is softer, this was not reflected in the forcast imaging but then again i dont think the program she used was too advanced....................
