Guest guest
I previously responded directly to one of these messages but I wanted to post my experience too, just in case it helps someone else. I've noticed that I have a sensitivity to corn oil--it causes redness, sensitivity, and small pimples on my nose, particularly toward the end. I know it sounds weird, but trial and error with all kinds of food products has shown this to be true. (I've come across corn oil in spaghetti sauce, soy products, and all kinds of potato and tortilla chips among other things.) Strangely, corn itself (as a vegetable or corn chip) doesn't cause me a problem unless it's cooked in corn oil. Since the symptom for me is similar to a rosacea flare, I figured I'd pass it on, even though it sounds a little bizarre. (I binged on a new brand of chips this weekend and by Sunday night my nose was red and feeling tender. By Monday morning I saw pimples, so I checked the bag of chips and sure enough they contain corn oil. So I haven't had any since Sunday and the pimples and redness are fading fast.) > You mention wheat.pasta and redness in the same breath.
