Has anyone installed a water softener to help there skin?

If so, have you noticed any benefit from softer water?

I have a chlorine filter which has helped, but now i'm

starting to think a water softener might help more. I was

told i have hard water.

Anyone have any experience's with water softener's?

Thanks.

Tony - I just had a terrible reaction to the chemicals in my

daughter's water from the water softener. Irritated and burned my

face beyond belief! Your mileage may vary!

I installed a water softener, and I really like it. I have hard water,

(southern California) and it's made a difference in flaking. I got

the suggestion from Dr. Nase's book. He mentioned that hard

water could be awful for rosacea skin. It's helped me.

what is hard water exactly? is it just another name for the " stuff "

that's in tap water, like chlorine, lead, etc? or something else?

I do have water softener installed - I don't think it has any impact on my

skin whatsoever - I believe I installed the water softener about 3 years

ago.
