The same thing happened to my son 3 to 4 weeks post op. He had to have a

root canal done, because the tooth was dead. The oral surgeon was surprised, he

said it was very unsual for that to happen. They also bleached the tooth so u

hardly notice the discoloration. Your ortho will be able to tell u right away

if thats the case.

HIs ortho was the one that told us that he had to have a root canal.
