Guest guest
Hi , The connection between my nose and left eye is still pretty much there. Several times when I blow my nose, air (or something else) will come out of my left eye. I didn't ask my surgeon about this because I thought this was related to the work done in my sinus area. However, I noticed it's happening only when I blow harder than usual now. And if your case is similar to mine, then you might still be bleeding when blowing, on rare occasions. Nothing like between week 1 and 4, fortunately. Ray

Guest guest
Hey Ray!!! Yes, i too think it might be air, now that i think about it. Odd, and it does only happen when i blow harder than usual, but post surgery and having a massive cold a few weeks back, has been often. Only in one eye. Thanks for the reply. katie > Hi , > > The connection between my nose and left eye is still pretty much there. > Several times when I blow my nose, air (or something else) will come out > of my left eye. Guest guest
- Oddly enough, one of my eyes tears up when I blow my nose quite often. It's usually only when I blow harder, like you said. But I haven't even had surgery yet. There's definitely some sort of normal connection there...don't worry about it. > > Hi , > > > > The connection between my nose and left eye is still pretty much > there. > > Several times when I blow my nose, air (or something else) will > come out > > of my left eye. Guest guest
Same here, except I'm at 16 weeks post-op. Untill week #8, I wasn't allowed to blow. But I'll admit, I did it on occasions. Whitout forcing, I blew a few times. Only to expell what was already in the nose, nothing harder. Surgeon said it was ok, under these conditions. The trick is not to put pressure on the bones surrounding the nose, she said. But, before anyone goes out and blows their nose, know this : I took the risk. I knew the consequences and I did it knowingly. If your surgeon says not to blow, don't. You risk damaging your newly repaired bones.
