But how can they really konw if they haven't tried it? What is an urban legend anyway? I hear the term used a lot, but don't really know what it means. Is it in the same category as a hoax? If a story got started in farm country, would it then be a rural legend? Of if in the boonies, a suburban legend? How do the peeps at these websites determine if a legend is untrue or if something is a hoax? Not questioning your motives at all, just curious and a bit confused.
