Is there any validity that Relora would help in curbing the carb crave? I am

in the same situation and have gained 5 lbs. I do not want it to get out of

control. I am, though, under a lot of stree right now because my office is

moving from 4 miles from my house to downtown Chicago. A big commute!

I too am feeling out of control with carbs and with grazing in general. I have

started (just today, mind you!) to place myself on a strict schedule of

meals/snacks, all consisting of high protein items. 0800 eating breakfast;

water til 10; another high protein snack; more water then lunch at 12, snack at

2 dinner around 4:30 and then another snack at night. I have already deviated

from this, but that's okay; I will carry on. Its just the first day. I have

the rest of the day and the rest of my life. This is all too familiar!! I have

sought the help of a psychiatrist about my eating issues, and hope that this

will help too.

Best of luck to you,

Need HELP kicking the carb monster

Help! My carb binging has gotten out of control and I've gained four

pounds this month. Today was the day I was going cold turkey w/

protein shakes only for 3 days. I got up, had my shake, an hour or

so later was hungry, had another... etc... was on my third while

making lunch for my 3 boys. Suddenly, a small piece of cheese and a

small piece of turkey were in my mouth. OK, says I, at least it's

protein, no big deal... but about 15 minutes later I was ripping into

the Doritos my husband brought home last night for the boys. I felt

like an addict big time.. almost shoving those chips in. I felt out

of control. I was mortified. I can't get through 6 hours without

carbs? What's wrong with me??? I know it's suppose to get easier

after 3 days of no carbs, but how do I get through the three days? Or

one day? I'm a mess! Help! (BTW, I use Champion Whey Stack mixed

w/ water)

Thanks for any input,

I, too have an eating schedule of 3 meals and 3 snacks that I follow.

I tried the " three days of liquid protein " and all I did was trigger a

binge. Took me several days of kicking myself to get over that one.

I eat protein at all 3 meals, protein drinks for the snacks. No eating

between these times. I find that if I deviate from this schedule, it

triggers a binge (carb monster) and it takes days to get back on track.

This works for me. I know when and what my next meal will be so I don't

have to obsess about it. I fall off the wagon once in a while, but it is

easer to get back on before much damage is done.

Don't be too hard on yourself. Most of the folks on this group have the

same struggles. Just find the system that works for you.

or season? Darn those nasty old carbs....cause they are here at MY house

too!!!!!! And I am being soooo good about taking my vits and

calcium/iron....etc....down right anal! Vitalady YOU WOULD be sOOO proud.

BUT it doesn't HELP with those darn carbs. Why in the HECK were they ever

invented? I think we should have a WAR on CARBS. (Ok guys...that was

supposed to be a SICK joke...did I do good? <grin>)
