Any bmi over 40 qualifies you for gastric bypass.I too didn't " look " like I

weighed 240,but I did and the fact of the matter is its not healthy .I'd say go

for it,then do a tummy tuck.Thats what I did and I feel great.

You need to be 100 pounds overweight to get in around my area and I think

that is pretty standard but you probably are a good candidate. Do realize this

is

not a quick way to lsoe weight but a tool to lose weight, you still need to

work hard at it and it is hard and stressful at times but can be done. Talk to

your doc about it and see what the say..

You need to be 100 pounds overweight to get in around my area and I think

that is pretty standard but you probably are a good candidate. Do realize this

is

not a quick way to lsoe weight but a tool to lose weight, you still need to

work hard at it and it is hard and stressful at times but can be done. Talk to

your doc about it and see what the say..

According to the guidelines I had to follow, yes you are a

candidate. Your primary care Dr. can help you with the paper work.

Who are you going to go through to get the surgery? That makes a

difference too sometimes. They ins. dept of places like Bariatric

treatment centers can help you through the paperwork. they really

helped me. Good luck

You may very well be . Some insurance companies require that you have

1 or more co morbidities (diabetes, high blood pressure etc...) along with a

BMI above 40. So go see your doc and get the referral and see what happens.

Thanks Candi, I am almost forsure I have a Heart condition called

Mitral regurgitation from my grandmother, I was on redux once and

they scanned my heart and said it looked fine for what they were

looking for, but it looked like I might have early signs of Mitral

regurgitation. They didn't put it on paper anywhere, so I figured I

wouldn't worry unless I get told that again. And the Doctor is doing

a full physical tomorrow~~

Thanks Candi, I am almost forsure I have a Heart condition called

Well complain about anything and everything and get it documented. Joint

pain. Problems sleeping. If you get tired easily. I mean anything. all

of these things can be caused by your weight.
