Guest guest
Hi Lori-- Thanks for the reply! I'd expected an insurance denial too and they came through literally at the last possible second. I was out of town the first 2 weeks post op and thought that was the hard part. Being at home and coming back to " real life " (i.e. not stuck in a hotel room any longer) has been more interesting than I'd expected. All in all it's been 90% positive--the negatives for me have been dealing with the " unexpected " . Like the trouble with water, etc. But hearing from everyone that these things pass helps a great deal! You're very right, as the clothes start falling off, (and I never expected it would happen to me anywhere near this soon), the excitment is mostly what I feel! For me the best moment so far actually occured right in the hospital the day of discharage....Dr. Dickinson took me off my blood pressure meds...he didn't think I needed them anymore. And he was right! I'd made a list of goals before surgery. I never expected to be able to check one off even before I left the hospital. I'm lucky that for me it truly is a journey with more ups than downs. Thanks again for your reply!
