YES Sharon......my hubby a " normie " (or as close as they come anyway) gets

wicked nauseas with vitamins......the only thing I can think of would be to

take a " chewable " like I do....it is really big and if nausea was STILL a

problem you could try breaking it up into little pieces till you got to a

size that worked.........HTH, and they taste REAL good........

>>>Guess what.. I haven't had any nausea since I stopped the multi. Has this

happened to anyone else? Where vitamins make you ill? What should I do since

I can no longer take the vitamins? I have tried three multi vitamins with

Dear Sharon,

Iron makes me sick -- very sick and it always has. I've spent a lot of my

(younger years) being anemic as far back as remembering as a child my mom

trying to get iron rich foods down me (that I threw up) the pills in any

form that I threw up and couldn't even take the pre-natal of iron (throw up)

and still can't tolerate even a little if it is in the multi I take so I

first have to take a multi without iron.

The whole iron thing may not be your issue at all... but it could be just

" one thing " in the multi that is causing you problems -- identifying that

one thing could be really difficult since the multi's have so many things in

them. The children's chewable made me feel sick too and most the adults had

iron (sick) I finally found one from that is a children's multi

without iron and doesn't make me sick at all.

It took a lot of " trial and error " though :-( I wish I new of an easy way

but I don't think their is an easy way. Just a " try and see " thing.

Maybe some of us could send you just a couple of the multi's we take and

you could try them to see if any work for you before you buy a lot of

different types in attempting to find the right one. Maybe that's a bad idea

(if it is please excuse my ignorance....)

My regular multi was starting to bother me a little, especially if I didn't have

food with it -- nothing major, just a little pain that I thought it would be

best to pay attention to. I switched to Centrum Chewables (not kids -- these are

adult chewables) and have had no problem with them. Don't know if this will help

you, but you might give it a shot.

I put the nausea question to Ph.D. nutritionist. He opined that zinc

was a very likely culprit.
