Guest guest
JAC, I felt the same way about 'my drunks' at detox. I cried when I left...could no longer afford an RN...and miss them still. They always defended me, protected me, and called me an angel. what more could I have wanted? I went into nursing because I wanted to do something that felt worthwhile at the end of he day. That was it. When I see the obits and the homicides in the paper, sometimes it is one of them...one of 'mine.' They slip on the ice and hit their heads and freeze to death. They are beatedn and pissed on by the police...and OTHER police take them to the hospital and write up the incident, they are puyt in car trunks to be hauled off to the hospital or down to the river bank...they were made inthe image and likeness of God just as much as anyone else. I miss them. Corrine
