Guest guest
I just had to comment on this one. In Washington STate and also in California, most of the schools are no longer staffed with a nurse. In fact here in California, my daughter's high school nurse's office is CLOSED. If my 12 year old at the elementary school has a headache, I have to drive to the school and administer her a Tylenol and bring that Tylenol IN IT'S ORIGINAL CONTAINER and give it to her in front of the nurse. The nurses are not allowed to give so much as a TUMS at school. Kids are not allowed to carry cough drops or cold medicine to take at school for when the morning dose wears off. I am simply AMAZED that you can get away with giving the kids in your class a half of a Tylenol. Kids here get suspended from school for carrying a bottle of Tylenol or even playing " tricks " by taking Alka Seltzer and making their mouths foam up. It has affected even them walking down the isle for graduation. There is ZERO tolerance, and they mean it. Guest guest
Maybe we can move on to another subject. You have proven that public schools have a type of insanity seen no where else in the world. Is there no one in a public school that can read simple instructions left by a parent? And with the outrageous number of children on " ridilin " type drugs out there are you saying that that parent has to come and give their child an afternoon dose? Your tax dollars at work paying for a school nurse who watches you give your child a tylenol. On the other hand it wasn't that long ago that a public elementary school subjected every little girl to a vaginal exam. They can't give a tylenol but they can take your child for an abortion with out your knowledge. Whodda ever thunk.
