Guest guest
I don't live near Minneapolis...I actually live in Indianapolis. But I did have a genio done in conjunction with my jaw surgery. I'm still swollen around my chin...so it's kinda hard to tell how it looks...but from my x-rays it looks really good. I have some before and after pics posted on this website...under the folder name Tom's Jaw Surgery. If you have any specific questions...I'll try to answer them. You can post them here or email me at tstapleton01@... Guest guest
You need not, imho, label that an advertisement. Lots of people on this board have had genios. I am not one of them. And heaven knows, I'm far from where you are -- as I'm in lower Alabama. But if you're gonna see a surgeon, and you have a problem with, um, not enough chin to please you, please also ask about whether you have a structural problem that needs orthodontic and orthognathic fixes. Maybe not. It could be that chin surgery alone can give you what you want/need. Often, though, there are issues involving the fit of the jaws and teeth that could stand some addressing. Good wishes to you. Guest guest
I had a genio in conjunction with upper and lower jaw surgery. I am almost 2 months post-op, and everyting seems to be fine. I actually have a chin now! Whereas before it was more like a wad of face dangling below my mouth. My surgoen seems to be pleased with the x- rays as well. As far as the surgery itself....well I can't really say. I don't know how much pain/discomfort I experienced with the jaw surgery as opposed to the genioplasty. Sorry, I don't live anywhere near Minneapolis-this is just my bit.
