Guest guest
Hey. I had my surgery with Dr. O' on Sept. 17. My case was like yours in that my ortho and Dr. O' didn't communicate about my case. It made me very nervous as well, so I took it upon myself to ask A LOT of questions and make sure I relayed my ortho's plans to Dr. O' and vice versa to make sure they both agreed. I also made an appointment with Dr. O'' after I'd had the braces on for a year just to ask more questions and to make sure the ortho was on the right track, etc. Ask your ortho beforehand what he feels you will need surgically and then find out what the surgeon wants to do and see if their ideas match. Just sit down and write out a list of questions to have her answer at your pre-op appointment and ask her specifically if she feels the need to speak with your ortho. They won't do the surgery if your not ready. You should be fine. -- > > Hello, > > Did your orthodontist work closely with Drs. O' and Poor? Guest guest
Dear Maddie and , My ortho is Dr. Favero. He was in contact with Oakland surgeons from the very beginning. He would not put on my braces until I was seen by the surgeons. I also have used DDI for all my tomograms and xrays, all Dr.'s involved in my case are computer savvy and use the internet to email the data as well as I hand carried the last set of tomograms prior to surgery to Dr. Poor. My dentist was also included and I was at his office when they conference called this past month. Please don't hesistate if you have any further questions. Regards, Connie Surgery date Oct 26, 04 PS, DDI is owned by Dr. Hatcher, a world reknown radiologist and pioneer of the tomogram imaging-- we are blessed to have him right here in Sacramento and Roseville.
